Five day Civil Defence training concludes at GDC Ramgarh
A five day long Civil Defence basic training program concluded on Friday at Govt. Degree College, Ramgarh which commenced on October 21, 2024 under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjli Andotra, Principal of the College. The training course was organized with the guidance of Additional Director General of Police HG/Civil Defence & SDRF, J&K and Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Samba.The training was given by the Civil Defence Experts on the knowledge of First Aid, prevention, management and control of Fire Fighting, Snake bite, Choking and other basic life saving technique and preventive measures during the natural/ manmade disaster.Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjli Andotra, Principal of the College appreciated and thanked the Civil Defence team for imparting such training programme. She highlighted the importance of suchtraining for the holistic development of the college students and youth as a whole towards nation building. She emphasized that it not only prepares them for lending a hand during the time ofdisaster but also makes them responsible towards the society. Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Prof. Brahm Dutt, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Neeraj Bargotra, Ms. Rani, Ms. Anjali, Mr. Jarnail Singh and other staff members of the college were also present on the occasion. The training programme was co-ordinated by Mr. Ashok Kumar (PTI).The experts who gave the training were Mr. Aman Singh Civil Defence Instructor, SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu, Mr. Pyara Singh Incharge SDRF team, Samba and his team. During the training, Aman Singh discussed the various impacts of disasters and emphasized the crucial role of disaster management training in planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing effective responsemeasures.Students of Sem-III and Sem-V were enrolled for thisfive day workshop that witnesses enthusiastic response from the learners.
